CareConnect generates draft timeline events from communications. Each event carries a category and confidence level, but it is not treated as confirmed until the user explicitly accepts it.
Structured outputs reduce ambiguity
The Gemini workflow uses explicit JSON schemas for events, actions and rights rather than parsing free-form text. This creates a predictable interface between a probabilistic model and deterministic application state.
Confidence is useful when it changes behaviour
A confidence label should not be decorative. Lower-confidence items can be highlighted for extra review, while high-confidence structured extraction can be handled more efficiently.
Product boundaries matter
The model can assist with classification and summarisation, but the product should decide which actions require approval, which data is persisted and which outputs are presented as information rather than advice.
Where this approach fits
